The data was collected from the sample size of Pakistan's 23 Islamic and commercial banks during the pandemic period from 2020 to 2021. The data regarding precautions for the COVID-19 pandemic and its related activities were collected from the websites of the sample banks. The analysis has been generated through NVivo software content analysis to find the precautions taken by banks on their websites. The findings suggest that the sample banks have taken reasonable precautions to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic while providing banking services to their customers. These services included digital banking & online facilities, awareness of COVID-19, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) followed by staff and customers during the pandemic, and providing facilitation in COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Funds. The findings offer recommendations and implications for the top management of the banking sector, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to control the pandemic and provide non-stop banking operations. The study also offers social implications related to the health and safety of the broader stakeholders. The study is first in its nature to explore the precautionary steps of the financial sector during pandemic situations.
2023-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Global Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Research https://farahs.org/gjhssr/index.php/gjhssr/article/view/11 Analysis of female’s education (fundamental right to education) in Pakistan: Case study of FATA female’s education 2023-07-18T18:26:59+00:00 Muniba Afridi munibaafridi@gmail.com
Education is basic right of every individual both male and female and it is one of those right that recognized internationally in UDHR and in other treaties Pakistan is party to some international accords like UDHR, due to this reason some efforts were made by the government official regarding education right but the female right to education in our state is not satisfactory specially in FATA. Precisely, it looks at the relative importance of religion and gender in predicting the likelihood of citizenship norms, political efficacy and civic engagement. The data used in this study were collected from a sample of 355 Nigerian undergraduates. Using t-test analysis and ANOVA, this study established that gender and religion, had partial predictive power in determining civic engagement of students. Specifically, result indicated that students’ political efficacy demonstrated that male (M=3.67, SD= 0.60) and female (M=3.36, SD= 0.69) had a substantial difference between them (t = 5.955, p= .015 < 0.05). Similarly, statistically significant difference occurred in civic engagement of students (F=3.452, p=0.032 < 0.05) based on religion. These findings have implications for scholars to conduct longitudinal studies that trace the civic engagement of students generally in universities.

2023-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Global Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Research https://farahs.org/gjhssr/index.php/gjhssr/article/view/13 Ana analysis of the relationship between gender inequality and economic growth of Pakistan 2023-09-02T16:36:18+00:00 Sudais Ahmad sudaissyed258@gmail.com Ayesha Mukhtar gmakai840@gmail.com
This study makes an effort to finds out the relationship of gender inequality towards macroeconomic variables in Pakistan using annual time series data 2000-2020.
